How are you doing? How have the last six months been for you?

It’s a beautiful day. The sun is shining, there’s a crisp bite to the air, and the birds are singing it loud. Yesterday was the New Moon Solar Eclipse in Aquarius. There is a subtle shift in the energy now and I’m feeling and a distinct feeling of hope emerging.
How do you know if you’re affected by an eclipse? Has you’re life gone a bit crazy? Has something hit you out of the blue? Have all your efforts finally paid off? Is something unbelievable awesome/terrible/surprising/unexpected happening?
The past two weeks, the time between eclipses, has been tough going. We had the first of this eclipse pair on January 31st, right before Imbolc. Imbolc, Feb 1st-2nd celebrates the return of Spring and the returning Sun. The Super Full Moon Lunar Eclipse in Leo kicked off a powerful time of reflection and insight.
On that day, during the eclipse, I made a Despacho, a prayer parcel. The Ayni Despacho Ceremony originates in Peru. The parcel is created in a sacred space, with intention and focus. The intention is to give thanks and gratitude for all that has been, is and will be. To offer thanks for what is unknown and yet to come, whatever that might be. I created a parcel containing natural items. Each item has a meaning and a relevance to the worlds we live in. My breath, given to each ingredient, holds all the knowledge the universe needs to know

Despacho, means ‘To dispatch a message of great importance’.

The beauty of this ceremony and process is that you don’t need to know what you want, or what you need. You can sit back and leave that to the universe. The making of the offering seals the messsage. The fire ceremony that follows then releases all the right messages to the right places.
I do not perform these ceremonies often. In two years this has been the third one I’ve created for myself. They are effective and powerful, almost too effective and powerful! As a result, things can shift fast after the offering burnt. It is always very surprising.
I gave the parcel to the fire and turned my back, releasing all that needs to be set free. Giving thanks for all I have, for everything that’s ever happened in my life, and for everything that is yet to come.

It’s a very humbling thought, to just be grateful and thankful that you are still here and living, that everything that has ever happened has shaped you and without those things, you simply wouldn’t be you…

Think back over the past six months…

In my research about these eclipses I discovered that the first in this current set was back in August 2017. Since September life has been challenging. Lots of illness in the household, people acting out of character, lots of low points. It’s been a real struggle to keep things moving forward.
Yesterday’s Solar Eclipse ends this phase. For the past week I’ve had very clear messages, insights and revelations. The Solar Eclipse is bringing potentially massive, life changing shifts. Life is different now. Life will always be different now. There is relief yet sadness and apprehension over the future. I must honour the past and be grateful for whatever is to come. Be strong and work hard.

So, if you’ve been feeling it, if things have been a bit strange for a while then this could change now. Whatever has been going on in your life since September, may have come to a head over these past couple of weeks. Yesterday’s celestial event may have brought answers, truths, insight or inspiration. If you haven’t had an aha moment yet, don’t worry, there’s still a chance something will shift. Sometimes it takes a while for the eclipse energy to hit us, depending on what it is triggering inside us.

Time to step up the self care.

If you have been feeling stressed and tense, consider booking in for treatment. Massage can help if you’re feeling ungrounded and unsure of yourself. Treating others always helps me refocus. Being able to share what I do reminds me every time I wobble, that I’m on the right path. Consider taking some time out to show yourself some love, care and attention. Email me if you’d like to treat yourself this Spring.

Right now, I am grateful for the turning seasons. I’m grateful for today’s sunshine. I’m grateful for the people I have around me and I’m grateful to still be here with the opportunity to live on this planet. Spring is in the air and I cannot wait to see what this year brings.

Life, with all its highs and lows, is a blessing we should all remember to be grateful for. No matter what it throws at us.
